“When the Game is Over…..it all goes back in the Box”

I have been reading this absolutely amazing book by John Ortberg which I recommend to everyone who wants to dig a little deeper and live their life in a way that makes an eternal difference in the grand scheme of things. I cannot put this book down!

Here’s an excerpt from the book:

“fantastic career. A new house. A plush 401k and a secure retirement. Good, all good–but is that what it’s all about? No matter how skillfully you play it or how many tokens you acquire, a time arrives when the game of life comes to an end. Now what?

NOW IT ALL GOES BACK IN THE BOX.

No more game cards. No more tokens.

No more promotions, no more financial planning, no more RV’s and vacation homes.

Game over.

WHAT DID YOU WIN THAT YOU GET TO KEEP?

This book helps you live with an eternal perspective, keeping your eye on the true prize–

Clearly……one of the best books I’ve ever read!

April 30, 2008 - 10:02 am Anonymous - Thank you for sharing, and giving a true reality to the rat race that we all get caught up in... it is time to stop, take and make the time to smell the roses, and begin to develop a new list of priorities... I really like the list on the left hand side of the chart...

April 30, 2008 - 9:10 am stephen sager - "deeds of love" - love that.

thanks for sharing

Susan + Kypros

Talk about couples that are “meant to be”, these 2 are so cute together. I had alot of fun walking the streets with them and just shooting wherever. The big day is coming up in June! (Susan + Kypros are extra special because they love my cats!) I absolutely adore this photo of Susan………isn’t she beautiful? Trula Finch of Montana did a fantastic job on Susan’s hair and make-up. (She is also Kypros’s sister!)

Now this was funny….while I was on the ground fiddling around with my wireless, the camera went off accidently and took this photo……I love it!!

That’s meeeeeee! While Kypros was handling a business call, I kept myself occupied. These 2 really are a fun-loving couple………and so meant for each other.

This one was taken by Glendon……..yay Glendon!

April 30, 2008 - 4:09 pm Dave Biesse - The reflection in the windows in an AWESOME shot! Nice one!!!!

Marta + Vic…..sneak peaks!

It’s time!! My nephew is finally getting married! You will probably remember this couple from my “Something Different” session where they got dressed in bridal attire and went underwater for the camera. Well, their date is coming up….08.02.08…..and I can’t wait! I thought I would give them some updated photos since I love working with these 2 so much and they are always up for anything……so here they are! (I will be posting lots more from this shoot soon…so keep watch)I brought them to the “grungiest” part of town, and while eyebrows got raised at first, they totally trusted me and I was able to pull off these images. And I finally got to “officially” break-in my TS lens which I am totally in love with now! After that, we hit the downtown scene
When we were wrapping up the shoot and loading the equipment in my car, I saw them warming up in their car and envisioned this image in my head, so I “fine-tuned” a few things to bring out the mood and captured it. Needless to say, it ended up being my favorite shot of the day! Can’t wait for August guys!

Some of you will remember Glendon from a previous post of mine. He is my new Associate Photographer. Well, now you can see the “crazy” side of Glendon. He is definately not shy. We were in the studio today playing around with some new “toys” I recently bought….and I am just LOV’IN my new lense!!

April 20, 2008 - 12:45 am Christopher Luk - I guess I got too excited :p I figured if I stayed online late enough and hit refresh enough, images from Saturday's shoot would magically appear :p
