Fully Booked for 2010!

Just a note to let all my future inquires know that I am now fully booked for 2010 and will not be accepting any more wedding commissions for 2010.  I’m very thankful and feel blessed for the many wonderful couples that have entrusted their special day in my hands, and look forward to an exciting year ahead.  I have thought long and hard about some new changes that will be taking place, all of which will be a great benefit to my couples, along with some pretty cool ideas and new products being offered.  I’m very excited!  I love refining my craft and I do it joyfully!   I will continue to be taking on weddings  for 2011 and 2012, so if you would like to secure your date, please contact me.  I’d love to chat about your wedding details and get to know you!  Send me an e-mail at impulsephoto@bellnet.ca or better yet, you can use the good’ol fashioned telephone (my personal favorite).  Talk to you soon!  905.832.5998

That was the name of my seminar which I gave to local Toronto photographers on Feb. 23rd held at the Terrance Banquet Centre, and for my upcoming seminar at WPPI in Vegas.  What originally was supposed to be 30, turned out to almost 60!  I was humbled that so many actually wanted to hear what I had to say about how I work my weddings.  A BIG thank you to all you attended.  I hope you were all inspired and were able to walk away with something that you can apply to this year’s weddings!

I have to tell you all how amazing Josie from Juicy Desserts is!  She created this awesome Camera Cake for me! When I first saw it I thought  “You have got to be kidding me!”  It looked so real!   I sent her photos of my camera from different angles and this is what she came up with.   How talented.  She even made some “Flash Card Cupcakes to go with it!”  I have to say that not only did it look awesome, but it tasted so good and was so fresh and moist!  Mmmmm!!  I think the next time I shoot I’m going to want to eat my camera!  To all who are looking for a cake for any occasion, you must see this girl.   Thanks  so much Josie, you really are a true artist!

TIME FOR SOME BLOG’IN AGAIN!

For those of you who follow my blog diligently, this is long overdue.  As you are aware, I have been very busy this winter with work,  renovations and other photography projects, so my blogging time has been cut back, but I vow to get caught up!  I should post the “before” and “after” photos of my renos .  Let me tell you, it has been quite an experience!

I have also been getting ready for WPPI which is coming up real soon.  I received my new Wedding Books the other day that I will be taking with me to the show and was so excited to finally see the finished product!  They look gorgeous!  (I hope to post some pics of these soon!)

But for now, let’s get to my couples.  I want to share with you some Lifestyle E-Sessions I photographed in the fall/early winter.  There are so many couples that I still need to post, so I have chosen to batch them together in a few posts.  For now, here are my first 3 awesome couples.  I thought I would start with my #1 blog stalker!……ahem…..you know who you are……Lisa Marie……

These 2 are so cute.  I feel like I’ve known Lisa Marie forever!  She contacted me a LONG time before she got engaged.  Telling me how one day she would love to have me photograph her and Mauro.  She was anxiously awaiting her proposal.  I believe about 1 year later it actually happened and she called me the day after Mauro proposed, came in right away, and booked me!  Their wedding is coming up this year and it is long awaited. Can’t wait!  It will be a fun wedding as I’ve already met her family from a photo shoot I had with them not to long ago, and let me tell you, her family are pretty energetic and humerous people!!  They had me laughing so hard!

I thought it would be appropriate to post Melissa & Rob next as they are great friends with S+M (above).  Their wedding dates are only 2 months apart!  I took Melissa & Rob into a foresty area on this gorgeous day (foresty? Is that a word? probably not)  We worked with the beautiful light we were given and had a great shoot….they are so adorable :)

Okay…so I admit that I havn’t been too diligent in my blogging lately, but I have a very good reason.  I’m going through some  major renovations and it has been taking up alot of my time.  Between all the building details,  keeping up with day-to-day business activities, designing my new sample books and prepping for WPPI,  I literally havn’t been able to get my winter break yet!  Hopefully it will calm down in a month’s time when it will all be done!  :)

On another note, congratulations to Michelle & Peter who’s wedding I photographed in July of 2009!!  They were recently featured in the latest December issue of Wedluxe magazine.  (I have been meaning to blog this for a while now). They enjoyed their beautiful summer wedding which was surrounded by lots of eye candy and exquisite details.  From the ice-cream truck serving soft cones to all the children on a hot summer day to Ines Di Santo being present as a dinner guest,  this day will be truly remembered by all.   Amazing couple!……..amazing day!

Epic.  That’s the word of the day for this beautiful wedding.  Linda & Alfredo were married last weekend in the heart of downtown Toronto.  Linda enjoyed getting ready in her “Presidential Suite” of  the Intercontinental Hotel, where the ceremony was also held.  Being almost the end of  November, we were blessed with such great weather.  Our bridal party were quite the comical bunch and kept us on our toes!  I hope you enjoy the pics!

How would I describe this wedding?  Stunning, colourful,  elegant, beautiful,  family & faith oriented.   Deepinder & Robby were a last minute booking for me, and I ‘m so happy I got to photograph this spectacular wedding!  We had so much fun with their 2-day celebration.  Thanks Glendon & Chris for coming out to shoot with me!  I know I was super energetic that weekend (been drinking my green juice again!  LOL), but you did a great job with keeping up with me.      We were like shooting snipers!!  SSSF guys!!  Robby is a Dallas, Texas boy and travelled a long, long way with his family for his wedding !!  He is looking forward to living out his life here in Toronto.  (Yes, we warned him about our 2-week summers and very cold winters…LOL)   Here are some sneak peaks…..enjoy!  :)
